Morrígan Jacket in Black
The heightened drama of our Morrígan series is fittingly named after the phantom queen of Irish Mythology. Often appearing as a crow, the name also eludes the inspiration derived from 1980’s Japanese design. Her role as guardian of territory and people speaks to the strong-willed figure we imagine in these garments. Composed in a sport poplin developed for our collection, it has an impenetrable quality and strength of silhouette we find useful in the current era. The shawl collar and strap belting are adjustable to create expressive shaping while the interior tie keeps the overlap secured. One oversized pocket keeps your essentials close at hand. Multiple darts throughout create an hourglass shape that looks more up to date with a dropped sleeve. Originally designed with a knotted embellishment we are scaling that detail back to focus on adaptability.

Continuing our investigation of work wear and uniforms as non-traditional sportswear, our sport poplin group was conceived as adaptable, oversized multiples that promote architectural shaping in basics.
We commissioned this curious textile with a supplier in Los Angeles to recreate a deadstock sport poplin. The dense weave of this textile has an impenetrable feeling, making it especially useful for travel.
Intended as a uniform or separates, this duo was also conceived as unisex, oversized fit scaled to suit a spectrum of workers in sizes 1-2-3.
